The Gauteng Department of Community Safety invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Crime Prevention Warden Positions.
Directorate: Traffic Management
Stipend: R 4000 stipend will be paid during the training period of three to six months
Note: Targeted group: Blacks , Coloured and Indian young. fit and agile people.
Knowledge and Skills: Communication (verbal and written)
Duties: Crime prevention, stop and search, arrest, attend to complaints, maintain law and order and traffic control, Under supervision during training.

All fields in the New Z83 form, must be completed and signed. Furthermore, a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) must also be attached. Failure to attach the completed Z83 and the Curriculum Vitae (CV) will result in disqualification.

Applications must be submitted on the new Z83 form, obtainable from any Public Service Department or on the internet at www.dpsa.gov.za/documents . The fully completed and signed new Z83 form should be accompanied by a recently updated comprehensive CV which specifies the previous/ current volunteer participation. Matric Certificate, Identity Document and Proof of residence. (only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of qualifications).
Please clearly specify the ward number (Gauteng Township, Informal Settlement and Hostels) next to the reference number. Should the applicant be in possession of a foreign qualification, the application must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
Applicants who do not comply with the above mentioned requirements, as well as applications received late, will not be considered. Failure to submit all the requested documents will result in the application not being considered. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only. All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a technical & physical assessment that intends to test the level of fitness relevant to the job. Suitable candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability check (criminal record, citizenship, credit record checks, qualification verification and employment verification. The Department of Community Safety reserves the right not to make an appointment and to use other recruitment processes. The Department will not accept posted applications.
