Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
Proficiency in operating selling systems
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods

Responsibility
Day to Day smooth running of the Fruit & Veg department
Control of the ordering of all Fruit & Veg stock
Monitoring and Controlling of expenses
Responsible for the organising and controlling of stock
Oversee the recording and monitoring of capturing for all stock movements in the dept.
Oversee stock counting for the Fruit & Veg – on a weekly basis.
As a senior; you are expected to maintain the highest level of customer service.
Implementation and maintaining promotions – daily/weekly etc.
Ensure products are priced accurately – by shelf talker or on a chalk board.
Demonstrate excellent hygiene/food safety practices and adhere to health and safety by-laws.
Be responsible for all staff; and resolve any staff issues appropriately.
Oversee the training of all new staff.
Ensure returns to suppliers are monitored and that respective credits are received timorously.
Follow up on emails and communication regarding the daily running of the department.
Count the float daily
Work on the till when needed
Assist with the cash-up procedures
Sell products specific to campaigns
Take customers’ orders
Handle transactions and place food orders
Pack away stock
Clean the store
Clean all the equipment
Carry out instructions from management
Ensure that fridges are always stocked
Switch on all equipment and ensure that it is in good working condition
Prepare and clean the food
Help with the morning preparations for the food
Help to prepare the meals if needed
Occasionally handle and prepare orders
